How do you practice self-care?
I used to neglect my self-care because of the same old excuses…
I’m busy
I don’t have time
The day is already over so what is the use
However, reading a book called Atomic Habits and listening to some good YouTube influencers who practice self-care has helped me.
Still a beginner, but taking it more seriously.
Some habits with the following cue, craving, reward and response that I have started for my self-care are…
- Do not open my phone until 1 hour or 2 when I wake up
- Drinking water when I wake up
- Trying to sleep early and prioritize sleep
- Eating more healthy food and making my meal plan to try new recipes
- Exercise in the morning and walking more to help my well
- Create a morning and night skincare routine
- Meditation when I work at home to reset my mind
- Journaling: writing how I felt on paper than keeping it in and becoming mentally unwell
- New Hobbies & Comfort Zone. I’m trying to grow more as a person by putting myself out there where its uncomfortable
- Limit screen time and reading books
