What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
The best piece of advice I got was from my brother and my kind manager at work.
Ever since I was a child…always been a people pleaser and did it for their sake not really my own choice.
Try to be the perfect person in their eyes.
When advancement there are struggles, hardships, obstacles, and fear.
Everyone’s path is different and not gonna work out, but that doesn’t mean that it’s useless because the effort to try is still there.
And it weighs heavily on the person because they feel they let everyone down.
But in reality they haven’t…
Their idea of perfection for other people’s eyes is just overrated.
What matters is doing the stuff that makes you happy, or being the person you are with no filters, and if people don’t like it…
Don’t care and shine like your original self.
I heard this from a well-known comedian that it took him 38 years to have the life he needed and prayed for. Nothing went perfectly and the judgment of a lot both personal and social was coming in all corners.
He just ignored and did actions that made him better and better for his true self.
I have a perfectionist factor in me that is a negative that made me have lots of breakdowns and negative thoughts.
I’m taking steps to be better for me, and just ignore the noise of others or my negative self-talk and just be me.
I would describe myself as quiet but unique when you get to know me.
Sometimes…I can be creative or have a mental block.
Passionate about different projects, good news, media, and a lot of rare things to show and look back on.
I’m empathetic, and respectful because I am not quick to judge anyone until I get to know them on a comfortable level and layers for me to let go to show my true self.
I scare easily and am fearful…But I was born in a wonderful faith with a respectful religious background which I always remain humble.
Sometimes I show too much passion, especially for sports or topics I love…
I have a bad habit of overhinkjng and stressful, because ai wnt things to be perfect or fix things easily and too nice.
So I reflect a lot on myself and always try to grow in any way I can.
Can be lazy…but responsible and always loyal to my loved ones because inside that I am still working on, I care about other people more than I do myself.
What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?
Mental Health is something I did not consider important, until 3 years ago I got wiser and had a lot of personal factors….something that took me to a very low point in my life and I didn’t know how to get out.
So I just thought and searched online what is something I can do to improve my mornings and not feel depressed….
And some strategies that I found out…
1. Try and make a routine to help lessen the load. With mornings and evenings.
2. Add small healthy habits slowly to help your mental and physical well-being.
3. Exercise although tiring and hard at first can go a long way and helps…
4. Don’t wait to start something or learn something new just do it.
5. Meditation and time to yourself is a very important factor that is healthy to add.
6. Journaling your thoughts, fears, aspirations, anger, joy, sadness, and happiness is a good outlet to release stress
7. Planning out meals brought a new joy and improved my mental health because I don’t feel the need to rush or stuck in confusion.
8. Take a break during the day…too much time on one or multiple things will lead to burnout.
I am still reading and looking at some more good advice to add to help me but I still keep on trying. 🙂
Well, since traveling to 2 places for the first time out in the world…
One is Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Wonderful place and will definitely go to take a trip back in the future.
Second was Cuba, a budget-friendly place that had beautiful weather, but it will take a different accommodation to make me go back.
That being said, I would like to visit more tropical places and areas of historical value and learn about the culture around the world.
If I were to write down a list…
Jamacia
Spain
Italy
Switzerland
Fiji
Barbados
Maldives
Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka)
Bali
Bora-Bora
Dubai
China (Great Wall)
Machu Pichu
Cape Town
Tanzania
Florida – Need on trip to Disneyland at least once
London
Barcelona
Sydney, Australia
Paris France
Around the World
It’s a bit of a long list but I really would love to see you around the world and learn more.
I would try probably for some budget-friendly as I am right now.
But I pray and believe that step by step, I can get the chance to visit those places and even more across the world.
I’m even interested in going and traveling around where I live right now in Canada.
Because for 25 years, I haven’t even seen around the country where I was born. So for starters, I would love to see the great Baniff Park. How about taking a trip to see Vancouver?
Take a trip to Montreal, see the culture of Quebec City, and even some of the Northwest Territories, or a little bit up in Calgary, just for a change.
Sometimes, when I am trying to relax at work a bit….at times I listen to a variety of music that depends on my mood and atmosphere…
If I want to wake up because I’m feeling bored…I listen to one of my playlist on Spotify called Throwback.
Old songs that just make me wanna get up and move my body.
If I want to feel reminiscent, I listen to a Bollywood music playlist of songs that I love both fast and slow because it’s part of my childhood.
If I want to feel a bit pumped up then I listen to anime music, cause its part of my pre-teen years to now that I would like to give it a listen and make me smile
