Late 1900s to Early 2000s

“If I could live in any time period for a week, I’d choose… 🤔

I thought I can just make a nice random daily prompt. 😁

If I could go back in any time period for a week. I think I would choose the late 1990s to the early 2000s. I would say, that’s when life was a bit more brighter.

Well, even if I was born in that time frame it was an interesting time in each aspect of life.

I mean…with entertainment…New people were coming in and interesting pop culture just bursted into the century.

It was more of the blast of technology with the internet, just taking over and and just rediscovering that and reflecting from now in the future is just a funny thought.

New waves was coming through in different aspects, healthcare, technology like pop culture, entertainment movies, politically, absolute global settlement.

And around that time, it was actually peaceful technology.Just came out, do people weren’t so into their phones that they had actual connection.

There was actual enjoyment and carefree way with living life.

Take a Risk to Venture Off

What are your future travel plans?

Well, since traveling to 2 places for the first time out in the world…

One is Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Wonderful place and will definitely go to take a trip back in the future.

Second was Cuba, a budget-friendly place that had beautiful weather, but it will take a different accommodation to make me go back.

That being said, I would like to visit more tropical places and areas of historical value and learn about the culture around the world.

If I were to write down a list…

  1. Jamacia
  2. Spain
  3. Italy
  4. Switzerland
  5. Fiji
  6. Barbados
  7. Maldives
  8. Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka)
  9. Bali
  10. Bora-Bora
  11. Dubai
  12. China (Great Wall)
  13. Machu Pichu
  14. Cape Town
  15. Tanzania
  16. Florida – Need on trip to Disneyland at least once
  17. London
  18. Barcelona
  19. Sydney, Australia
  20. Paris France
Around the World

It’s a bit of a long list but I really would love to see you around the world and learn more.

I would try probably for some budget-friendly as I am right now.

But I pray and believe that step by step, I can get the chance to visit those places and even more across the world.

I’m even interested in going and traveling around where I live right now in Canada.

Because for 25 years, I haven’t even seen around the country where I was born. So for starters, I would love to see the great Baniff Park. How about taking a trip to see Vancouver?

Take a trip to Montreal, see the culture of Quebec City, and even some of the Northwest Territories, or a little bit up in Calgary, just for a change.

Habits are Helpful

How do you practice self-care?

I used to neglect my self-care because of the same old excuses…

I’m busy

I don’t have time

The day is already over so what is the use

However, reading a book called Atomic Habits and listening to some good YouTube influencers who practice self-care has helped me.

Still a beginner, but taking it more seriously.

Some habits with the following cue, craving, reward and response that I have started for my self-care are…

  1. Do not open my phone until 1 hour or 2 when I wake up
  2. Drinking water when I wake up
  3. Trying to sleep early and prioritize sleep
  4. Eating more healthy food and making my meal plan to try new recipes
  5. Exercise in the morning and walking more to help my well
  6. Create a morning and night skincare routine
  7. Meditation when I work at home to reset my mind
  8. Journaling: writing how I felt on paper than keeping it in and becoming mentally unwell
  9. New Hobbies & Comfort Zone. I’m trying to grow more as a person by putting myself out there where its uncomfortable
  10. Limit screen time and reading books

Social Events

What fears have you overcome and how?

Hmm, recently I have tried to overcome my fear for a goal this year of going to a large social event by myself, with no friends or relatives or family members.

I was just going to a cool social event by myself, avec moi…

It’s really scary, but since I’ve gone to small events with my friends. I thought it might be a nice idea to take a big leap out of my comfort zone and go to a social event by myself.

And I would have to say it was pretty cool and fun. I got most of my comfort today but soon I was nervous at first but then I kind of blended in.

It was an anime convention called Anime North, and it’s usual, certainly every year in May that they usually have their convention to go see panelists, play games, and cosplay. It’s just nice to see the costumes and just to go around having fun.

Since I’m a big fan of anime, I’ve always loved watching it ever since I was young till now and forever, and I was really surprised at all the costumes and so many people that came for a genre that we all love to watch, which was interesting.

Lost Opportunities

Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?

There are many loss opportunities that I wish I could have done differently, or I wish I would have taken action.

I would say if I didn’t take action on joining more clubs at school, just getting more on my comfort zone and meeting more people because I was always the quiet and shy.

I really regret it. Or else I would have made a bit more friends and had more of them. It’s a good school experience.

Another experience would be probably when the pandemic hit. I should’ve got in more time to volunteer build up myself to learn more.

Also, I should have taken the opportunity to go do my Master’s right away after I was done with college. Instead of going straight to work, I would be in a different place by now….but who knows

But the most missed opportunities I would say for myself is going out and enjoying the sociality of many events, traveling, and seeing many festivals just to bring in new experience.

But now I demonstrate JOMO and that’s okay for me..

Music and a Warm Drink

How do you unwind after a demanding day?

Whenever I get stressed, I have a bad day or even a good day but get so tired…

Always like to unwind with a good  book, some warm tea for my body and some nice jazz music in the background to settle in for the day.

Music feeds the soul and helps tune out the stress of the world

It helps all season tound whether by warming up in winter, rainy day, or looking down st the sunset

What to Pick??

What is your favorite restaurant?

Believe me, I’m a lover of food or cuisine, but to pick just one favorite restaurant is a crime….😂

But I would say that Moxie’s Steakhouse and the Thairoom in Toronto are some favorites of mine right now.

Since I’m experimenting with homr cooking and trying new cultural dishes, so I can have a well-balanced palate.

Been loving Thai, Mexican and Indian dishes at the moment.

No Screen, No Stress Just Hydrate, Exercise & Rest

What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

Usually every morning ritual I do…I give gratitude and remember to thank God every time I wake up.

I pray be thankful for the day no matter what mood I am in. Be grateful that I wake up and open my eyes and then try to do a nice morning routine.

The first hour of my day would just start with me trying to get out of bed. Waking up, give thanks with a quiet, silent, and nice prayer opening my curtains.

Next going to brush my teeth regular habits, but i’ve added a good habit of drinking a glass of water and eating a small morning.

The snack is to get a little bit energized for my morning and the water to help with digestion.

Well, also, during the first hour, I practice writing down affirmations on my fridge’s whiteboard really helps me. Get a bit more positive and reassurance for my self-confidence.

Plus, it’s a little fun thing that I would put, like if there’s anything in news, news or sports or entertainment, then I just put it on the whiteboard. And I just put like a daily song that brings a smile to my face.

Can be any song english foreign, indian. Especially I like putting anime ones with the openings that always get me in a good mood.

Be Themselves & Rare Occurrences

Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?

Usually, I see everything and everyone as unique…

People are unique because they are there own best selves

Everyone has a unique personality. Bold, quiet, secretive, dangerous, charming, elegant, curious, shy, or exciting.

Even if I see someone who has a special talent, or even a rare ability even by genetics, I suggest that it makes somebody unique as well.

We’re all on the cycle of life. We’re all equally unique and shine.

All Aboard!

You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?

I have been on a bus, plane, car and bike… well, motorcycle to call, but it still counts…right?

However, I have never been on a train.

I would love to take a nice calm train ride in the countryside to take in the beautiful nature and sights.

It’s environmentally friendly and comfortable rather than most planes and bus, it gives extra leg room.

Also, I would experience a new way of travel to help broaden my horizons.
