Basic Food, Seasonings & Soap

The most important invention in your lifetime is…

I would say these two are my i’m thinking that they’re the most important invention in my lifetime.

Well first of all, so because it came to me from a manga and an anime called Dr Stone.

They said some really important points that was just like rebuilding the world. But the one ingredient and factor that helped would be the creation of soap.Because it helps in different situations.

Well, first you gotta be hygienically clean.

And second, it prevents illnesses like with touching and especially the time with the pandemic, how it’s important to wash your hands. And the bacteria would be gone, and it would be prevented from spreading around even including disinfecting wipes.

This substance or small thing has really helped throughout time that I really didn’t think about until now.

The second will be basic food and the creation and invention of different dishes/cuisines and how it transformed.

It also came from watching many tv shows with watching Masterchef growing up and especially from anime like Food Wars. But I did notice one thing that was important, that came from One Piece.

It’s something that a character named Zeff said. And I kind of thought about it in general and seriously, when you’re abandoned, there are no where around you like let’s say an island.

The first thing that is important isn’t how much money you have or electricity or social media or all the superficial stuff….

The first factor you think about is shelter, but most especially food.

And after I saw the scene where he made that sacrifice, and he was thinking about Sanji, and he let him eat, and he didn’t even have any food for himself, just jewels and gold. And treasures that didn’t mean really mean anything.

He remembered and made a good point and how we should never waste food. And that for me that makes me kinda regret a lot. And the respect for resources, because what’s the point if you can’t feed yourself to survive and grow.

Seasonings is an unnoticed thing. That kind of made me realize how grateful that seasonings were invented or discovered.

Because they kind of they transformed food in a wonderful way when learning about meal prepping and switching from eating out and not even eating from fast food for 2 years now. For me and just looking up different recipes with seasonings and styles and appreciating and loving different aromas makes me think it’s a good invention.

Morning Hydration & Night Time Screen Time

What part of your routine do you always try to skip if you can?

It’s been a while…..

Um let’s see…. My routine has been on the down low couple of weeks two months since a depressing time.I’m trying to keep up my routine and be consistent.

But some things I would try to skip if I can is the morning hydration.

I know it’s good for people to drink water for straight in the morning because they’ve been dehydrated every time they sleep for over 6 to 8 hours, but the feeling in my mouth, when I wake up and put water to drink, just feels weird.

Why shouldn’t I rather skip it and drink some water, when I eat breakfast.

It makes more sense.

Plus there are different drinks and entities to put into water that helps that I get confused about.

Some say drinking bone broth or chicken broth in the morning helps with gut health.S ome say drinking lemon water and salt.

Some say drinking lemon water and ginger and some say even drinking hot water in the morning helps. So I get confused what works out for me.

It’s hard to pull out bad habits in the nighttime, especially when you like binge watching your favorite shows and watching a cool show in the nighttime where it’s mystery. Or you get excited or you get pumped, but I know that’s a bad habit.

Or like scrolling through youtube, shorts or Tiktok or Instagram reels?

Just to see all the funny cool. And interesting stuff out in the world, even though it’s bad for your brain.

And it’s really hard to lose get rid of.  So I kind of skipped the calming night routine of trying to do the simplest things with just dopamine ruled stuff and slots of screen time which I gotta quit soon.

Marathon/Hike to the Top

What could you try for the first time?

Since I started my fitness journey last year .I really wanted to work on my endurance and grit for long periods.

And I’ve seen people who’ve built up and grown so much in their fitness journey and put so many activities and have really tried one marathon as a realistic goal.

Like, I remember one of the famous movies, I’m not sure. It has something to do with a famous boxer or a person in training. When a person runs up the stairs and then cheers as they reach their goal.

I wanna try to do that. Maybe running a 5k marathon or hiking up a big trail like a mini mountain to reach the top or finish line and look down and say…

Yeah, I did it.

And since I’ve always been sedentary and put some workouts in my routines, I’ve never tried running a marathon as a nice fitness goal, and running as an activity so that could be something I can try for the first time.

Second Chances

If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to?

If I had a million dollars to give away first of all, that would be great. And I would bless and thank God.

But I would give it to those people who could have a second chance.

People’s journeys come to a standstill, and they don’t know what to do. The most important factor in any place is having money. So you can do what you aspire to do.

Not a lot of people have that.

For instance, like homeless people who lost everything. But still want a second chance at pursuing their dream and having the ability of a good income to be okay.

Like convicts that have done something wrong, horrible even due to their previous circumstances and have suffered the consequences. They’re in a dark tunnel and don’t have the light when they’re released back into society. It’s good to help those who are looking for a second chance to help, not only for the public, but also for themselves and become part of the working environment.

Like helping the people who need financial aid in their higher education, because money is always an issue when trying to pay off a student loan or trying to pay for tuition. So you can try something new or something that you wish to be. It’s a good stepping stone to make sure that they’re truly financed with the learning opportunity to grow to begum the next generation’s good leaders.

I’d like to give the money for those type of people who deserve a second chance.

No Need to Be Perfect or Control

Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.

As a kid, I wouldn’t say I was too pressured.

But I did not get the grades in the subjects that my parents approved of….

There would be harsh and negative judgment and that caused me to put so much pressure and be hard and critical in my own self-reflection.

So much so, when I got a bad grade like a C or B- in grade school to college. I would cry for an hour and say such horrible things to myself. I would want to control the outcome and when things didn’t go my way, it would feel like the end of my life.

Like…I’m so stupid, Why can’t I get this right, I have no brain 😔

The instant experience or action that led to a change was in 2024. When I was depressed for a couple after I failed a big exam and others passed. I put such a comparison and felt stupid because it was a familiar subject and I couldn’t remember from college after the pandemic.

Then my brother told me to take a trip for my self-care and get into a new environment and erase everything and live in the moment.

So I did, it was the best decision. It was like a refresh and when I got back home. I googled what I can listen to for self-care and change. Because I was not in a good state of mind, I decided to focus and start a lifestyle journey that I am still continuing.

My first 2 podcasts that helped me so much even today.

  • Mel Robbins
  • Jay Shetty

2 Quotes that helped change my thought process and still help me today.

I may not be perfect, but I am worthy – Mel Robbins

Mel Robbins discusses in her podcasts, in a lot of episodes that chasing perfection is a trap that prevents true progress and acceptance of oneself.

I took that into account because I am a people pleaser and it was for other people I needed to be perfect, and set an amazing standard that I didn’t accept myself, no one can be good or excel at everything.

The externals will never be perfect, and the goal isn’t perfection. Life is not going to go your way. You have to go your way and take life with you. Understanding this will help you be prepared for whatever may come – Jay Shetty

After hearing that on many of his podcasts episodes with experts I psychology and human behavior.

I really sat with myself. Everyone’s life has its ups and downs and you cannot control everything in life, you can only control yourself, your actions, and make yourself happy.

I am still reminding myself because as I go through the stressful and bad times, I forget. So I just write it down and remind myself what I can control and grateful for.

Distress and Flexible

Describe your ideal week.

My ideal week….

So far nothing is perfect, but I would have a good week if these things happen…

At the start of the week on Sunday, I would pray and get ready for church. I would sing songs, dance, and just enjoy myself. And then, as the church ends early, I just come home. Relax and prepare for the week. I think maybe look up some new recipes and just laugh and maybe go for a Sunday evening, walk.

For the weekdays.

I would wake up to wonderful nice sounds in the the start of monday, no stress, I would meditate and pray.

Then I’ll just get ready for the day. To a nice morning routine, maybe some new habits to try out. Then I would go out to the gym or just stay in for a nice workout session and just be around calming energy and hype myself up for the day.

Then I can eat some yummy, healthy breakfast at eye meal prepped, or I made just for a bright start to the day, and go on a a nice walk

I would always remind myself to repeat good affirmation before I start work.

That’ll be my mornings throughout my week.

The lunch would be the same, but each day I would do something different. Maybe a new habit or walk around a new area and be involved in the community.

I would choose one day out of the week may be a Wednesday or Friday to do a hobby for myself in the evenings.

At work, I would love to be involved in events with my coworkers and like build new connections. Have a nice productive day and never feel like I’m behind.

Once a day, I would like to improve myself and maybe learn something new for the day. So it doesn’t feel like time is just passing by.

Saturdays, I would just wake up and reset from the week and try to clean everything. Just get through with the hard stuff and then in the afternoon, just relax, maybe we go out and just breathing some fresh air.

I would like to go out in the afternoons. Maybe to go for it’s like a simple walk or a movie or any show or any activity that I can make a memory.

I get settled in and come back from a nice Saturday and just pray to start the new week on Sunday better.

Each week moving forward, I would love for at least one or two things to get better and just look at life.

What TV shows did you watch as a kid?

Wow, where to start…

There were so many TV shows I grew up with as a kid! From the preschool days of Treehouse, to the classics on Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, and even some anime

I really had a wide mix of shows that shaped my childhood.

Ah, the good old days….back when TV felt a little more magical, before it started to feel like content was being rushed out more for quantity than quality.

If I had to break it down, I’d group my favorites by the networks I watched the most:

Treehouse & Nick Junior: The early shows that started it all.

  • Big Comfy Couch
  • Backyardigans
  • Franklin
  • Toy Castle
  • Timothy Goes to School
  • Thomas and his Friends
  • Care Bears
  • Rolie Polie Olie
  • Zaboomafoo
  • Arthur
  • Rugrats

Nickelodeon: Full of laughs, weird characters, and endless fun.

  • Fairly Odd Parents
  • SpongeBob
  • Danny Phantom
  • My Life as Teenage Robot Girl
  • Hey Arnold
  • Avatar
  • Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide

Disney:  The iconic shows that everyone at school was talking about.

  • Hannah Montana
  • Wizards of Waverly Place
  • Suite Life (Both Seasons)
  • Gravity Falls
  • Phineas and Ferb
  • Thats So Raven
  • Kim Possible
  • Proud Family

Cartoon Network: The quirky, creative cartoons that were sometimes hilarious…and sometimes just plain bizarre, in the best way.

  • Powerpuff Girls
  • Dexter’s Laboratory
  • Looney Tunes
  • Scooby-Doo
  • Teen Titans

Anime: My gateway into a whole new world of storytelling.

  • Inuyasha
  • Tokyo Mew Mew
  • Sailor Moon
  • Dragon Ball Z

There are honestly so many more, but if I wrote about every single one, this post would turn into a novel! So instead, I’m just going to highlight my top favorites….the shows that truly stuck with me, ones I loved then and still hold close to my heart today.

Mix of Morning & Evening

What’s your favorite time of day?

My favorite time of day? 🤔

Well a couple of years ago, it would be a different answer…

But now I do love the mix of mornings 🌄 and evenings 🌆

Now that I have added a morning routine with some tips of:

  • Making my bed
  • Drinking a glass a water when I wake up
  • Adding a skincare routine
  • Exercise (HIT, Stretch, Pilates)
  • Good Breakfast

Love when the sunrise hits and I see a hue of beautiful colors.

For evenings, I like just shutting off from work and relaxing freely.

Look back at the day and drinking some tea and reading a good book and eating a warm dinner.

Plus evenings help to:

  • Plug out of work mode
  • Set yourself up for tomorrow
  • Warm dinners
  • Good kickback entertainment that brings a smile
  • Read, relax and reset
  • Do something for yourself
