Distress and Flexible

Describe your ideal week.

My ideal week….

So far nothing is perfect, but I would have a good week if these things happen…

At the start of the week on Sunday, I would pray and get ready for church. I would sing songs, dance, and just enjoy myself. And then, as the church ends early, I just come home. Relax and prepare for the week. I think maybe look up some new recipes and just laugh and maybe go for a Sunday evening, walk.

For the weekdays.

I would wake up to wonderful nice sounds in the the start of monday, no stress, I would meditate and pray.

Then I’ll just get ready for the day. To a nice morning routine, maybe some new habits to try out. Then I would go out to the gym or just stay in for a nice workout session and just be around calming energy and hype myself up for the day.

Then I can eat some yummy, healthy breakfast at eye meal prepped, or I made just for a bright start to the day, and go on a a nice walk

I would always remind myself to repeat good affirmation before I start work.

That’ll be my mornings throughout my week.

The lunch would be the same, but each day I would do something different. Maybe a new habit or walk around a new area and be involved in the community.

I would choose one day out of the week may be a Wednesday or Friday to do a hobby for myself in the evenings.

At work, I would love to be involved in events with my coworkers and like build new connections. Have a nice productive day and never feel like I’m behind.

Once a day, I would like to improve myself and maybe learn something new for the day. So it doesn’t feel like time is just passing by.

Saturdays, I would just wake up and reset from the week and try to clean everything. Just get through with the hard stuff and then in the afternoon, just relax, maybe we go out and just breathing some fresh air.

I would like to go out in the afternoons. Maybe to go for it’s like a simple walk or a movie or any show or any activity that I can make a memory.

I get settled in and come back from a nice Saturday and just pray to start the new week on Sunday better.

Each week moving forward, I would love for at least one or two things to get better and just look at life.

Take a Risk to Venture Off

What are your future travel plans?

Well, since traveling to 2 places for the first time out in the world…

One is Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Wonderful place and will definitely go to take a trip back in the future.

Second was Cuba, a budget-friendly place that had beautiful weather, but it will take a different accommodation to make me go back.

That being said, I would like to visit more tropical places and areas of historical value and learn about the culture around the world.

If I were to write down a list…

  1. Jamacia
  2. Spain
  3. Italy
  4. Switzerland
  5. Fiji
  6. Barbados
  7. Maldives
  8. Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka)
  9. Bali
  10. Bora-Bora
  11. Dubai
  12. China (Great Wall)
  13. Machu Pichu
  14. Cape Town
  15. Tanzania
  16. Florida – Need on trip to Disneyland at least once
  17. London
  18. Barcelona
  19. Sydney, Australia
  20. Paris France
Around the World

It’s a bit of a long list but I really would love to see you around the world and learn more.

I would try probably for some budget-friendly as I am right now.

But I pray and believe that step by step, I can get the chance to visit those places and even more across the world.

I’m even interested in going and traveling around where I live right now in Canada.

Because for 25 years, I haven’t even seen around the country where I was born. So for starters, I would love to see the great Baniff Park. How about taking a trip to see Vancouver?

Take a trip to Montreal, see the culture of Quebec City, and even some of the Northwest Territories, or a little bit up in Calgary, just for a change.

More Self-Care…Less Phone Addiction

What would you change about modern society?

Modern technology has grown so much over the century…

It has done a lot of good in the world. But it also has done a bit of bad, in more physical and mental aspects.

Technology is a wonderful tool.

But it can take away from real connections that were once there previously.

As I was a kid and I got on the bus, people were laughing, even strangers talking to each other and it was interesting. With meeting new people and having fun or any experience.

Now, as an adult and 2025…

I get on a bus, and everybody’s glued to their phones.

Either looking at them for thirty minutes straight or it’s just mindless doom scrolling on social media.

Even my parents can’t put down the phone to acknowledge my presence while doom-scrolling Facebook videos and looks at them all tge time during social events.

And then I get home and you know, they can’t even look me straight for 5 minutes.

So I would change a little bit about modern society may be more attentiveness.

Put in a smartphone feature where the phone is not active until two or three hours of the day have passed.

And even when you go to bed just so that the moments that are meant to be shared are more meaningful.

Lost Opportunities

Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?

There are many loss opportunities that I wish I could have done differently, or I wish I would have taken action.

I would say if I didn’t take action on joining more clubs at school, just getting more on my comfort zone and meeting more people because I was always the quiet and shy.

I really regret it. Or else I would have made a bit more friends and had more of them. It’s a good school experience.

Another experience would be probably when the pandemic hit. I should’ve got in more time to volunteer build up myself to learn more.

Also, I should have taken the opportunity to go do my Master’s right away after I was done with college. Instead of going straight to work, I would be in a different place by now….but who knows

But the most missed opportunities I would say for myself is going out and enjoying the sociality of many events, traveling, and seeing many festivals just to bring in new experience.

But now I demonstrate JOMO and that’s okay for me..

Detective or Pirate

If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?

I mean love all types of genres and films….

But to choose to be one character from any book or film….

Well depends…

Who wouldn’t want to be Sherlock Homes based on the mystery novels from Arthur Doyle.

Your skills would be top notch with observation and attention and no one would be able to be keep any secret from you because of your deduction skills and help working with the police or spy organizations.

On the other hand….I am a big manga and anime fan since I was a child.

And one character or characters that I would like to be is a pirate in One piece sailing the sea looking for adventure and having the freedom to see what’s out there and all the new people to meet.

One Piece

The battles, friendships, adventure, and comedy that it brings are exciting.

I would be Nami well for the vast knowledge of navigation knowing where to go. Or be like Sanji and be able to cook delicious meals and help in times of need when it comes to battle minus the stupid lady’s man attitude

Safety & Flexibility

How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

I have somehow adapted to the changes that the pandemic came when Covid-19 striked with really focusing more on safety and hygiene and realizing how some part of the world has changed, as it actually created more flexibility in the workforce.

I was always pretty aware of regular safety precautions that the new disease had brought in how to keep safe and to myself…

But it’s really made me more aware of how bacteria and harmful substances can spread as quickly. And we should all take precautions the second the news came out.

For instance, I do more in general hygiene wise, trying to create a nice cleaning routine.

I’m still trying to build a refresh and reset routine. Where I clean around my house and I take more to account. Just to sanitize and make sure that every part of my house, even if I go out, that I’m safe and clean.

Also, I’ve also adapted to liking more hybrid work.

The pandemic did bring a big of difference to the workforce, as in it was a little bit dangerous for all employees to be in the office.

So it would be more flexible when you know everyone has a personal computer. They can work from home. They also save cost on other factors like food and transportation and create more time for themselves, especially when working from home.

More Speed, More Convenience

How has technology changed your job?

Well, technology has changed my job for the better. It makes the workforce and the lifestyle a little bit more flexible.

Since I do work as an accountant, technology does help with speed and accuracy. Especially when you’re crunching all the numbers and seeing if everything balances.

Work at Home

But I think it mostly changes the workforce by adding more unique hybrid style, which really benefits me in the long run. Especially with saving costs on transportation and time.

Technology brings more comfort than brings ease to busy jobs that are very detail oriented.

Technology is a good tool for my job. With new growing software, new updates with Android and Windows 10 and 11 that I can learn something new at a different day that really helps me grow.

Hard to say a simple “NO”

How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

Well, in my case, a little or sometimes…..

It’s because I’ve always been a people. Pleaser, I’ve always had to say yes because I always felt guilty or bad, or I put people interests in front of my own.

I’m still trying to fix it, but um now I’m trying to say no, or you don’t go to things that will interfere in achieving my goals. Especially for or creating my own new mindset and lifestyle.

For instance, I had to say no to doing a tiresome job that my father forced me to take because it was causing me too much stress. It won’t let me achieve my goals, and plus it really made me feel depressed.

It felt good and a great decision. Because I feel not obligated for any tedious tasks and feel less stressed.

But it’s still hard to say no to my close ones, even though i’m working on it…😅
