You’re Good Just The Way You Are

What was the best compliment you’ve received?

Let’s see….

I would say the best compliment that I have ever received was from my mom and from a special friend that I’m getting to know….

They saw them some of my flaws, like sometimes I’m lazy a little bit. I can be a little bit too shy. I bet stubborn, but i’m always kindhearted and want the best for people and treat everyone with respect that they deserve.

But a bad mental habit of mine is that i’m too self-conscious of myself.

I put myself down a lot with negative talk.

But I appreciated it when they complimented me. Even though I changed physically or mentally, i had to remind them that I wasn’t doing anything else but for myself.

They still say that don’t let another person change you,” because I am already great and appreciate me for me just the way I am.

Before I would change recovery would say them someone, it’s something negative for me or be so self conscious that I really don’t want to express who I am to other people because they won’t accept me.

The compliment was just a great reminder that I can still stay and remain true to myself.

Year of the Rabbit

Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?

Well, it’s just confusing, because I don’t know if I would compare myself to any animal.

So I guessed maybe a rabbit. 🐇

Well, because they’re soft, they’re cuddly. They have energy, they love, eating vegetables and they’re calm.

Plus, I was born in the year of the rabbit, and some of the qualities that I’ve seen in the calendar are similar to myself.

I’m usually calm and intuitive. I love being kind and helpful to people even though I have a quiet voice.

Dear Future Me

Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.

Dear Future Me,

How’s it going?

I would like to know what’s in your life right now.

Hopefully you are always grateful and thankful to God, for letting you reach your millemum peak.

By then, I wonder how’s your family, if you had a lot of kids and have a close, trusting husband that you love and be happy for all the time that you are married. Hope you fulfilled your ambition of travel to parts of the world.

Are there any moments in your life that you like to note down, funny, serious, unbelievable, unforgettable moments?

Did you reach good career and personal goals that helped you?

Is there any change in the world that far in the future?

Are there flying cars, is the environment better or worse? What’s going on socially with the brand new generation ready to take over?

This is your younger self, just wishing you the best, and making sure that you look back and said “Yeah, I had a beautiful life.

Hopefully, there are time machines so I can hear about it.

Sincerely,

Your 25 year old self.

Well, What to Say?

You’re writing your autobiography. What’s your opening sentence?

If i’m writing my autobiography and my opening sentence, I don’t know what I should say….

I think it will start like….Let’s take a look back when times were simpler, just a Canadian born Nigerian little girl taking on the steps of life.

I always pride myself on where I come from and what I believe, so I think that would be just a mini introduction of well, who I am to begin with.

Water, Fresh Clothes & Mind

What are three objects you couldn’t live without?

3 objects that I could not live without would be…..

1. My Handy Water Bottle

2. My favorite clothes to keep me warm

3. A good book that can always keep my mind fresh

Water because it helps me survive, which keeps me hydrated and is accessible anywhere for free.

I’m always grateful for the clothes that I have, so that keeps me warm, that keep me centered.

Yes, I was wondering when between a book or a phone, which would I rather have. I chose the book because with the phone or any electronic device, it has a time limit and runs out….

A book can never run out… when it is just an endless capacity of knowledge.

Many words….what to choose

If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

If I were to permanently ban a word from general usage….it would be either the general f* word that is used to so many times that uncomfortable or mean.

Or it might be the dumb word in relationships called “situationship” because I believe the word is just ridiculous in its ways for people to not be serious in building a connection.

Priortize Needs & Save/Invest More

Write about your approach to budgeting.

I’m still learning even as a learning accountant of my budgeting format. But I kind of changed it from the usual 50/30/20 with Needs, Wants, Savings.

My format now is a bit a flip to the format….

It is more like 70/20/10 format.

Budget

Oh, now I’m trying not to spend too much on my wants like pointless stuff that i won’t use after one time. And more on my needs and being satisfied with what I have for a good specific amount of time.

I’m only putting items that I want for personal growth, only for emergencies or if it is absolutely necessary.

This focuses on more to investing and saving a good portion than spending too much on what I want. Because it’ll help me more in the long run, and i’m really focused on in the short term and towards my future.

So many books…Which one to Read?

What books do you want to read?

I recently started more reading books again about last year….

Because it really helped expand my mind and make sure that we can learn something new and grow  each day.

We’re not limited by anything.

Many books can help with my mindset

And I am, but still feeling stuck? Reading books kind of really helped clear my mind a bit.

I want to read a lot of books just to grow in many different areas that i’m focused on right now.

But if I were to give a top five list I would like to read at the moment, it would be…

  1. Atomic Habits – James Clear
  2. Girls that invest – Simran Kaur
  3. Miracle Morning – Hal Rod
  4. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes – Conan Doyle
  5. How to Talk to Anyone –  Leil Lowndes
