Waving Flag – Trip to New York

Think back on your most memorable road trip.

Ahhh its such a long time since I had a long car road trip.

The most visible memory would be visiting my relatives in New York with an invitation to a party.

We were going along Toronto to Buffalo and to New York…

We were with family friends that were invited as well and made it more fun with all the pit stops.

I believe it was around 2009 when the song “Waving Flag” was popular and we sung it all through the road trip.

Plus others 😅

It was first time experiencing the money and cultural shock of  visiting U.S for the first time.

I can still remember getting out a 20 dollar bill for ordering 2 combo McDonald’s chicken meals and finding out it cost 5 dollars….

😂😂That was interesting to hear and relief to pay.

One Active, One Creative and another Clever

List three jobs you’d consider pursuing if money didn’t matter.

Money is the central focus of most of the population all around the world of getting the things everyone wants…

But its not the most important in the world.

Kind of strange really because I see many people who have high-end jobs with such high pay but aren’t truly happy because of the daily stress that takes over.

Such a coincidence since its the same topic that a heard on a recent Mel Robbins podcast today.

If pursuing money were not an factor for me…

I would work 3 types of job that I would like to give a try.

  1. Actress – a creative job that since I was a kid, I would love to do because when it came from a scene from a movie I watched or a funny moment of a TV. Loved acting it out.
  2. Wrestler/Manager in a wrestling company – an active job around a sport that I fell in love with since I was 5. I was not the most active but I wanted to see how I’ll do.
  3. Detective – I don’t know when I started to like crime and theories. Maybe by knowing about Sherlock Homes, reading mysteries since middle school or watching Elementary and The Rookie but its something I would try

Love the Main Meal….Worth It Together?

What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it?

Well…I’m living in Canada and all the expwnsive taxes with the economy.

Most of the food whether grocery or restaurant is expensive.

Well, I would say, the most, I spent on a single meal….

I don’t feel it is around the price of a normal meal, but it was like three entrees, so maybe so…

I believe it was around $80.00 and it was at a nice restaurant nearby downtown Toronto.

It was a new restaurant. I haven’t heard before, I don’t even remember the name but I can remember it was around 82.00 to 85.00 dollars for just me when the bill came.

And I thought, that was too expensive, with the appetizer being so small.

The only thing that was worth it, was the entree, with just this wonderful grilled salmon. With with some sweet potato fries and another kind of many coleslaw, or I believe it was like a nice salad on the side.

Also the garlic bread was really tasty.

Even tried other such good sides with small roasted potatoes and the steamed vegetables and there was this wonderful sauce that was chef’s kiss. 💋 👨‍🍳

And then the dessert, even though it was sort of a medium portion. I am a fan of chocolate. I am a chocoholic, so overall, I believe it was a little bit worth it because everything was cooked properly and had nice service with kind gestures.

But it could have been more reasonably priced. 🤷🏾‍♀️
