Well, i’m in my mid twenties, and I believe my parents didn’t even meet each other yet.And they were planning on immigrating to Canada.
Because I know they met in their late twenties to thirties at a picnic in Toronto.
But I think when they’re my age, they are just experiencing coming to a new country.
Probably experiencing a lot of their firsts from the end, one of the northern countries of the world.
For snowfall versus trip to a local grocery store, first local trip to public schools, parks traffic lights, different traffic, electricity that is on all the time.
So I think they were stepping into their new life.
“If I could live in any time period for a week, I’d choose… 🤔
I thought I can just make a nice random daily prompt. 😁
If I could go back in any time period for a week. I think I would choose the late 1990s to the early 2000s. I would say, that’s when life was a bit more brighter.
Well, even if I was born in that time frame it was an interesting time in each aspect of life.
I mean…with entertainment…New people were coming in and interesting pop culture just bursted into the century.
It was more of the blast of technology with the internet, just taking over and and just rediscovering that and reflecting from now in the future is just a funny thought.
New waves was coming through in different aspects, healthcare, technology like pop culture, entertainment movies, politically, absolute global settlement.
And around that time, it was actually peaceful technology.Just came out, do people weren’t so into their phones that they had actual connection.
There was actual enjoyment and carefree way with living life.
So it’s not surprised that I love chocolate. Any form of chocolate bars, little chocolate pieces in different brands.
Hmm, regular liquid, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, even white chocolate, hazelnut almond. The list kind of goes on and I don’t want to get more hungry. 😂
Hmm, but I would say the form of brand of candy that I do love the most would be either Lindt chocolate. But I would say especially Cadbury Milk Chocolate, it has a special memory and favor in my heart.
Are there any activities or hobbies you’ve outgrown or lost interest in over time?
I used to love doing my nails. But after a long time, it’s just focusing on other things. I kind of lost that passion and outgrown it.
I love doing different designs, different colors. Just express myself and I try to do it on people. It a little bit failed, but I did my best. I was getting better but I’m not sure why I stopped….
I think with the busyness of life and other factors coming in. I forgot about it and just focus on things that help me save time.
I would love to do it again. Open with looking at different youtube tutorials. The different designs, the different methods, just different patterns.Just, it’s stress free activity that I can do. And in the long run…It would be a nice idea to save some money.
The second one would be probably digital art that I lost interest due to time. I love the sprite art when I first started watching the youtube creator it’s called Super Mario Bros Z. Basically, its a mix between how the Mario universe just got mashed with the Sonic universe into this one cool plot of getting the chaos emeralds and defeating a central enemy.
That kind of spread to watching and playing games on Newgrounds. A cool gamer website. I think my favorite would be probably the tutorial mario games plus these two cool games of Final Fantasy Sonic and Wave Warrior Sonic. They had such cool plots, and it was fun and nice to play along.
I did wanted to start like a little bit on my own. I did try to bite a little bit on powerpoints and just trying to learn powerpoint even more. Also tried to learn like the software on how to do sprite flash animation. So I can do my own stuff. It was really cool and with my storyteller imagination. I would like to add a few things and then send to the creator just say I made this, hope you like it like a fan.
But I kind of stopped once flash software stopped being available. And with the other software it takes more steps. And I did not have that much time, because I had studying, school, work, and life just got in the way.
I would say these two are my i’m thinking that they’re the most important invention in my lifetime.
Well first of all, so because it came to me from a manga and an anime called Dr Stone.
They said some really important points that was just like rebuilding the world. But the one ingredient and factor that helped would be the creation of soap.Because it helps in different situations.
Well, first you gotta be hygienically clean.
And second, it prevents illnesses like with touching and especially the time with the pandemic, how it’s important to wash your hands. And the bacteria would be gone, and it would be prevented from spreading around even including disinfecting wipes.
This substance or small thing has really helped throughout time that I really didn’t think about until now.
The second will be basic food and the creation and invention of different dishes/cuisines and how it transformed.
It also came from watching many tv shows with watching Masterchef growing up and especially from anime like Food Wars. But I did notice one thing that was important, that came from One Piece.
It’s something that a character named Zeff said. And I kind of thought about it in general and seriously, when you’re abandoned, there are no where around you like let’s say an island.
The first thing that is important isn’t how much money you have or electricity or social media or all the superficial stuff….
The first factor you think about is shelter, but most especially food.
And after I saw the scene where he made that sacrifice, and he was thinking about Sanji, and he let him eat, and he didn’t even have any food for himself, just jewels and gold. And treasures that didn’t mean really mean anything.
He remembered and made a good point and how we should never waste food. And that for me that makes me kinda regret a lot. And the respect for resources, because what’s the point if you can’t feed yourself to survive and grow.
Seasonings is an unnoticed thing. That kind of made me realize how grateful that seasonings were invented or discovered.
Because they kind of they transformed food in a wonderful way when learning about meal prepping and switching from eating out and not even eating from fast food for 2 years now. For me and just looking up different recipes with seasonings and styles and appreciating and loving different aromas makes me think it’s a good invention.
Sometimes its hard when I feel like the most responsible and aren’t beligrent of serious situations.
And its the small annoying things that I have to handle, when it can be clearly taken care by another person who is responsible for their own mess.
Its puts mental stress…..on not only by my coping limit but my inner peace.
Examples
Someone leaving messes around the house that they expect others people to pick up for them
Someone is not responsible for his/her finances and leaves it to another to be good when they are having their own stress
Someone who isn’t being responsible for his own life or career and you have to be his assistant
When the complaints start, and you want to not blow up. It helps to remember some podcasts like Mel Robbins or Jay Shetty on boundaries, mental health, stress and responsibilities.
My relationship with food is very active and I’vee loved cooking more. Now that i’ve learned to cook and see all the cool and interesting recipes.
But currently, one that I found last year was this beautiful recipe of a turkey and a sweet potato bowl.
I was looking for turkey recipes because I was changing my protein because I feel like I was eating too much chicken and not eating that much of meat or other kind of protein. And so I thought turkey was a good alternative and is very healthy.
So I looked up a nice recipe on tiktok, and it showed this interesting turkey and sweet potato bowl, made from red onion, air fried sweet potato, cooked turkey and a bunch of spices that I had a mix together first time using cilantro leaves and just mixing it up. And adding dome nicedspices heating it on the pan and cooking it through.
There is also a nice sauce with a mayos and spice and some lemon juice.
I was cautious at first. But then, when I took my first bite of it, it’s was chef’s kiss 💋, so yummy. And its has become one of my favorite meals during each week to cook.
